Computer Vision Approach on Anthropometric Body Measurement

A system that can conduct contactless body measurement from
captured or uploaded images through computer vision. 

The prototype was placed at a tailor shop and used by the tailor on clients who visit onsite, while the website application was used for the online appointment requests where the client directly fills out an information form and uploads the required images, which is saved into the database system for management and viewing of the tailor

Presents the development of a contactless body measurement system using a computer vision approach. The system captures four images of the human from different angles, of front, back, left, and right side views using the camera. Processed using computer vision techniques to extract measurements of specific body parts.

The images are then processed using computer vision techniques to extract measurements of specific body parts, including shoulder length, arm length, upper arm length, hip girth, hip height, thigh girth, knee girth, knee height, calf girth, and ankle girth. The system is equipped with an 7-inch LCD resistive touch screen that is connected to the Raspberry Pi to display the interface for the measurements program.

Furthermore, the system includes a website that allows clients to send their images to the tailors, who can then download and upload the images into the measurement program. The system achieved an overall accuracy of 87.81%. Overall, the system significantly reduces the time needed to take accurate measurements of clients, improving the efficiency of the tailoring process
